 For adult discipleship, we use the Scriptures and Wayne Grudem's book Bible Doctrine. Convinced that most Christians fail to grow from the infant stages of feeding only on milk, we labor to bring "meat"--theology to our people, because God commands it. Theology is not to be for ivory tower thinkers, but for Christians in our everyday lives.

Bible Doctrine is systematic theology for laymen. In it, Grudem teaches the deep truths of God simply without being simplistic. Over the past few weeks, topics covered include the following: 1) What is systematic theology?; 2) The Authhority and Inerrancy of the Bible; 3) The Clarity, Necessity, and Sufficiency of the Bible; 4); The Character of God: "Incommunicable Attributes" and "The "Communicable Attributes of God."

Over the next few weeks, we're studying the Trinity--how God is One God in three distinct Persons. Along the way, we'll discuss heresies that have sprung up over church history, cults, and how a more mature understanding of orthodoxy (right doctrine) should characterize our worship as Christians.
